Caramel Apples Basic Style

Caramel Apples Basic Style

I can hear you already going what on earth is that?????

Well.....If words like “caramel and apples together” make you think, “Ew, weird, clicking away now,” don’t–click away

Avoiding things that sound weird will keep you from enjoying things that taste amazing.

So onto the recipe.....

 First things first
 Ingredients:
1. 1 bag apples any kind

2. 14 ounce package of caramels melted
3. 2 tablespoons milk
4. 1 cup chocolate chips
5. 1 cup sprinkles any type
6. 1 cup nuts chopped (your choice)
7. 1 cup random candy crushed
8. 1 package wooden skewer sticks

Second things steps...
1. Butter a baking sheet, tray or use aluminum foil to hold coated apples.
2. Set up dishes for each of the toppings.
3. Wash and dry apples after removing stems.
4. Insert wooden skewers or popsicle sticks into the top of the apple.
5. Melt caramel candy in a saucepan on low heat
6. Stir in 1 tablespoons of milk, water or cream.
7. Melt until caramel is a smooth liquid.
8.Quickly dip apples in liquid caramel to coat.
9. Roll the coated apples in desired toppings immediately after coating with caramel.
10. Dipping must be done fast because caramel hardens quickly.
11. If the caramel begins to harden add 1 tablespoon of cream to the mixture
12. Place apples on a tray or foil. Refrigerate to cool before eating.

Tip: Bigger isn’t better for caramel apples. Choose smaller apples, which will be easier to make and eat.

Tip: Store-bought apples usually have a wax coating on them. If a farmer’s market or orchard isn’t nearby, quickly dip store-bought apples in boiling water to remove the wax. Then refrigerate until you’re ready to use.
Tip: Use colored cellophane and ribbon to wrap up the caramel apples so your guests can take them home as a tasty party favor

Now simple disclosure I will on occasion borrow pictures from other sites if I did not take one and I apologize...The above picture came from www.skewersticks.com

Enjoy !!

Love,
