Crock Pot Beef Tacos
I can hear you already going what on earth is that?????
Well.....If words like “tacos in the crock pot” make you think, “Ew, weird, clicking away now,” don’t–click away
Avoiding things that sound weird will keep you from enjoying things that taste amazing.
So onto the recipe.....
First things first
Ingredients:
1. 2 pounds beef chuck roast
2. 1 teaspoon salt
3. 1 teaspoon black pepper
4. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
5. 1 tablespoon chili powder
6. 1 can tomato paste
7. 2 cups beef broth
8. 1 can tomato sauce
9. 1 teaspoon cumin
10. 1 batch tortillas or taco shells
Second things steps...
1. Sprinkle beef evenly with salt.
2. Cook beef, in batches, in hot oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes
3. Remove beef, reserving drippings in Dutch oven.
4. Add 1 Tbsp. chili powder to Dutch oven; cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute.
5. Stir in tomato paste, and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
6. Add 2 cups beef broth, and stir, scraping bits from bottom of Dutch oven.
7. Return beef to Dutch oven, and stir.
8. Place beef mixture in a 4 1/2-quart slow cooker.
9. Add onion and next 4 ingredients.
10. Cook on HIGH 4 hours or on LOW 6 hours or until beef is tender. S
11.Serve with warm tortillas or fill shells and desired toppings.
