Crock Pot Ham & Beans
I can hear you already going what on earth is that?????
Well.....If words like “crock pot” make you think, “Ew, weird, clicking away now,” don’t–click away
Avoiding things that sound weird will keep you from enjoying things that taste amazing.
So onto the recipe.....
First things first
Ingredients:
1. 2 pounds great northern beans
2. 3 cups diced ham
3. 1/2 cup ketchup
4. 1 tablespoon black pepper
5. 4 cups water
Second things steps...
1. Rinse beans.
2. In a 4-1/2-quart Dutch oven or large pot, combine beans and 8 cups cold water.
3. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
4. Simmer for 2 minutes.
5. Remove from heat.
6. Cover; let stand for 1 hour.
7. Drain and rinse beans.
8. In the crock pot, combine the beans, ham, ketchup, salt, and 4 cups fresh water.
9. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
10. Cover and simmer for 3 hours or until tender, adding more water, if necessary.
