Aioli With Garlic & Capers Dipping Sauce

Aioli Garlic & Capers Dipping Sauce

I can hear you already going what on earth is that?????

Well.....If words like “aioli” make you think, “Ew, weird, clicking away now,” don’t–click away

Avoiding things that sound weird will keep you from enjoying things that taste amazing.

Aioli is a French sauce made by mixing lemon, eggs, garlic, and olive oil into a smooth, creamy mixture resembling mayonnaise.

Capers are the unripened flower buds of Capparis spinosa, a prickly, perennial plant which is native to the Mediterranean and some parts of Asia. Their use dates back to more than 1200 B.C.E. where they are mentioned as a food in the Sumerian cuneiform Gilgamesh, an ancient retelling of a great flood and ark legend.

Capers taste like piquant sour and salty flavor.

So basically this is a dipping sauce ....

So onto the recipe.....

First things first
 Ingredients:
1.  1 cup mayonnaise ( don't use the cheap junk)
 2. 3 tablespoons garlic powder
3. 3 tablespoons lemon juice
4. 1 1/2 tablespoon capers
5. 1 teaspoon black cracked pepper (this is the whole pepper you use in a pepper grinder not a shaker)

Second things steps...
1 .Whisk together all the ingredients.
2. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes
3. Serve with fries, chips, crackers, fish sticks, anything you don't mind salty..

Now simple disclosure I will on occasion borrow pictures from other sites if I did not take one and I apologize...The above picture came from www.ourbestbites.com

Enjoy !!

Love,
